Windows XP seems very unstable when I play my older games. Sometimes it will shut down during a game and reboot saying that a serious error has occured. Does this mean the games aren't compatible on XP?

most older games are dos based.
there is no dos in xp.
i suprised they work at all

by older games, what do you mean? which games? Also, maybe some system specs as well.

ya the same thing sorta happened to me. I just got the game called NOX. It installed just fine. And acually the game ran properally when i played it. But when i turned it off i couldnt get it to start again. A bunch of errors came up and i couldnt even start the computer! i dont know if it is the game or the windows xp. what should i do? and im really mad cuz the game was wicked cool. well please help me. thanks.
