If you damaged the original, contact the manufacturer for a replacement.

Game CD's have a protection scheme so you can't burn another CD and use it on another machine. You can find a crack with a web search, if you don't mind breaking the law.

Eric is correct - contact the manufacturer, it doesn't matter who's fault it was, they will send you another copy.

First of all, Joe Smith is an idiot. Copy Protection don't mean a thing, they are easliy bypassed and games are very burnable. Author, that only happens, when you put in the 2nd cd(at least from what i've seen) try the first again and if still no luck then yes get yourself a replacement. Also SOF2 only has CD Checks which ain't much of Protection and it is very easy to burn.

I did mention breaking the law - read the EULA AMD_Sux_And_SO_DO_AM. If you "name who means nothing to anyone" want to break the law, go ahead, no ones gonna catch you, or maybe they will, and put you in jail. Then you mom won't be able to rub your head and make the voices go away.

Nice of you to not help. Your solution: "try it again" - wow that's deep and shows the level of your expertise - at least you didn't say reboot and try again. And then you steal the same thing Eric and I suggested - get a replacement. Who's the idiot now? Is that your mom calling? Must be time to go see daddy in prison.

Actually, it's not breaking the law to have a crack IF you purchased a LEGAL copy of the game.

Why would you want a crack if you have a legal copy?

He is right you are allowed one and one only backup copy. You can't use the cd you made because you burned it without buffering out the sd2 protection. That is why it is saying please insert disk1, because the disk you have is unrecognized. You can like they said copy those files to your hard drive and download the .exe (run without a cd file) of the net someone I can't tell you where but search for it. But if I was you, and you legitimately bought a copy of SOF then I would contact the manufactuer and explain to them your situation. If they don't help you then I would seek monetary as well as punitive damages in the form of pirating their software. lol

Polish the scratch out.

I successfully used 1000grade wet & dry paper followed by metal polish to remove really deep scratches once.

If the CD is goosed anyhow what's to lose ?
