I currently have a Gigabyte motherboard (GA-7DXR+) with RAID 0 running on ME.
However when I try and upgrade to XP after the first restart during install I am prompted to install some RAID drivers, however the latest drivers supplied by Gigabyte cause the following error:
File \WinXP\Fasttrak.sys caused an unexpected error (18) at line 2108 in d:\xpclient\base\boot\setup\oemdisk.c.
If do not install any drivers windows cannot complete the install because it does not recognise the harddrive controller.
Also the drivers supplied by gigabyte are missing the following file: Txtsetup.oem, this is the case on the disk that came with the motherboard and on their website.Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try going to the 3rd party's web site that
supports the raid chipset in the bios and download their newest XP drivers. I had a problem with my Abit raid board with simular prob and it fixed it right away.

I am using the GA-7DXR RAID with XP and receive the same error File \WinXP\Fasttrak.sys caused an unexpected error (18) at line 2108 in d:\xpclient\base\boot\setup\oemdisk.c.
Checking out Promise's website doesn't appear to list any FastTrak 100 lite drivers for XP. Any ideas of where to get them? thx

I have the very same problem and have sent an email to Gigabyte explaining the problem but as yet have not had a reply from them. I really can't work out why this is happening, I can mirror the disk without problem but to set up XP the way the instructions say is impossible. Wish I could offer more assitance. If you achieve successful instalation then please let me know.
P.S.
Thanks Gigabyte (not)
