hey all,
I just wanted to know if the Nvidia GeForce FX 5500 works well with Halo PC. Ive been trying to get Halo to work well with my card for over 3 months. I am planning on buying this card, but i need to know if its really good enough. i am pretty big fan of gaming, but i mostly just want something that works good with Halo.

TripleA, from what I have read, it does run most of todays modern games fine at that resolution but increasing the res will most likely induce performance loss. If i were you,I would wait till July to make your purchase,as that is when most cards will drop in price with the release of the latest videos cards. That way you can get say,a 5700 or maybe even a 5900 for a fair price. Do a google search on the card to see how it scored on benchmark results, you may be pleased. Good luck(:

My roomate has an FX 5600 256mb and it runs halo not too well. really choppy when the flashlight is turned on ... he has to run it on low detail.
Do yourself a favour and sell it and get a Radeon 9600 if u want a mid-end card, the FX series is ridiculous.
