Function key will not work

CPU/Ram: Cel2.19ghz 256MB

I have a Toshiba Satellite A10 notebook (model number PSA10A-012NHP) running WinXP sp2 I have found out that the function key is not working, it used to before I put sp2 now it won't. The obvious conculsion is that sp2 has done something to stop this from working. My question is how can I get the function key working again without uninstalling sp2 (as I have heard that this can cause more problems).

Look for patches on microsoft's support site
it is possible you are not the only one with this problem

Or it is possible that you could be having a hardware malfunction

I have seen weirder things in troubleshooting
