here is the scoop, my computer...a compaq presario S33100M that i bought several months ago recently had a registry corruption and i have decided to full restore. the problem with this is: it did not come with a restore disk...however, there is a recovery partition (the d drive). i need to know exactly how to full restore using this recovery partition...with my previous computers i always had a disk to insert to completely start out fresh on my computer. i need to know if i'll need the 6 winxp boot disks in order to do this...please help...thank you.

To replace lost recovery discs or Quick Restores for Windows 98, Me, and XP, contact Compaq Technical Support at 1-800-OK-COMPAQ.

I dont use that brand and would not dare to tell you how to do it. But, for sure sooner or later you will need a recovery disc with xp on it.
