Comment:
Upgraded Win2k Pro to XP Pro with no (visible) problems. Tried running SimCity 3000 in compatibility mode (as Win95) as I've missed it under Win2k. Got following Windows error messge - 'Unable to load function: FT_Thunk (KERNEL32.DLL)'. Any helpful suggestions thanks John

You shouldn't have to use compatibility mode to run it if it was originally for 2000. You might also try reinstalling sim city.

No, SimCity doesn't run under Win2k - that's why I was trying compatability mode to try to persuade XP Pro that it was Win95. I've also tried reinstalling the game, but still get the same FT_Thunk error message, which is very unhelpful as it doesn't give me any clues about how to fix the problem! I've no intention of reinstalling the whole OS just to get a game to run, but would still be grateful if anyone had any ideas about FT_Thunk and how to resolve!
