hi, i try to answer a post, but it was a little old, the post was unfinished and i can't find a newer post about that problem, so i'll just copy the link to the post and write my solution here in case anyone has the same problem.
original post: http://www.computing.net/security/wwwboard/forum/3932.html
My post:
your problem seems very weard but there's a very simply solution that i though while reading your post.do you know a file called HOSTS?, well this file can help you to avoid ftp.exe trying to connect to white.nigger.la, this can be done by letting your computer think that white.nigger.la is hosted on your computer
open the file hosts located at C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc with notepad or wordpad, then just add a line to the bottom like this:
202.172.42.67 localhost
this ip is the one a just got for white.nigger.la
with this, every time ftp.exe try to make a connection to white.nigger.la, it will really be at your own computer.
i hope this can help you until we found the real cause of your problem.
Cheers
mentor.
