FTP username and password prompt

Comment:
When using Internet Explorer FTP sites automatically login without prompting me for a username or password. I would like it so everytime I search an FTP site that it brings up a username/password prompt and when I'm logged in the environment to look like Windows(folders, files, etc.) NOT links like in IE. I have already checked off 'Enable folder view for FTP sites' through the advanced tab in Internet Options. Any other suggestions on my problems ? thanks

Perhaps the ftp sites allow anonymous login. If so, you won't be prompted for a username. As far as having a tree view, why not use the Windows ftp client to connect?

If you don't like using the command line, I would suggest using FileZilla.
