ftp from batch file and wanting to log it

Specs: Windows XP PRO
I have a batch file logs into ftp server and transters a zip file from 1 server to another and then create a log file on the machine that ran the bat file so that I can have have another batch file email me that log so i have an easy way of verfing the ftp transer complete with out remoting into one or both servers
here is a copy of my batch file i am running

@ftp -i -s:"%~f0"&GOTO:EOF
open 192.168.90.15
me
test
!:--- FTP commands below here ---
ascii
cd backups
put "c:\archive.zip"
disconnect
bye

any help with this would greatly help
i have been able to figure out everything else but how to have ftp transfer log this transfer

You can't use ftp from a batch directly as far as I know.

There are a few ways. One is to run the script from within ftp.

Otherwise you need something like hey to input into application.

i have the ftp working just fine has been running for 2 weeks just has posted what i am looking for is way to get a log of the the process so that i can have blat emial the log so that i know the ftp completed
