Frozen mouse on laptop login screen

My dad and i share a laptop, and when I turn it on, the mouse is unable to move. I was just wondering if there was a way that he could have frozen it. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

Just to say that my laptop has button above the Touchpad that disables the Touchpad.
