I have a Compaq Presario SR5110NX and I removed Windows Vista off it and installed XP Home. Now I can not find any drivers for it. Can anyone PLEASE help me find the proper drivers that will work with XP on this computer

Go here--- http://h18000.www1.hp.com/
then click Product Support Information,
then enter in your exact Model name, and number,
then tick what information you want to know,
then proceed from there. When doing the above, it may ask which OS your model has. If Windows XP shows up, then click that. Then you may get to a Drivers Download page. ??

I'm guessing you didn't check to see if this machine was compatible with XP before reloading it.
According to HP, this machine was manufactured with "exclusive" Vista hardware:

No XP drivers available.
Life's more painless for the brainless.

HWinfo & SiW are both software which will identify hardware, sure this has been mentioned before !!!

You need to read this carefully - courtesy of HP/Compaq.
Changing the Operating System from Windows Vista to Windows XP
Quoted:
If HP Support is contacted regarding the troubleshooting of software and hardware issues, you may be required to reinstall the original software image.
It's your call. Good luck.

I'm not a Vista fan but I don't understand why HP/Compaq would equip a Vista PC with just 512MB of RAM...& shared RAM at that. Not to mention, the RAM is PC2-5300 rather than PC2-6400.
IMO, downgrading the PC to XP is a good move, provided you can find the necessary drivers. The board is based on the NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE/n430 so finding chipset & video drivers isn't a problem:

The onboard sound is Realtek ALC888, so that's easy enough:

The RTL8201N network drivers *may* be a little more difficult:

And if XP doesn't load generic drivers for the firewire, you'll need to find them for VIA VT6307.
Here's your system specs:

Here's the motherboard specs:

If you have any problems finding the rest of the drivers, check the ECS/Elitegroup website.

well, HP/Compaq have quite a reputation to fit their machines with just about enough memory to boot it up ... 'oh, you want to run software on your computer? tough luck, upgrade your memory!' :)
download and run SIW (english-standalone), it will help to identify the devices in your computer
http://www.gtopala.com/siw-download...
click on 'PCI' under 'Hardware' and you'll get the info you need to obtain the drivers from the part manufacturer's website.

jam your the best, thank you for all the info. I got about 98% of everything working.
I only have one UNKNOWN DEVICE and one OTHER PCI BRIDGE DEVICE to go.
