OS: Windows XP
CPU/Ram: Intel D 3.0
Comment:

I have a clone pc Intel D 3.0 processor,512 MB RAM, PVM900m motherboard by Mercury running on windows XP service pack 2 the problem is the comp does not install the video drivers on the motherboard cd. Now whenever the machine is running it justs hangs and a window pops up that says "your computer has been shut down to prevent further damage please uninstall any hardware or software currently installed" I've run various video drivers but not one is compatible and lately i tried VIA 9 HD Chrome drivers but an error message "S3glgpm.sys" file is missing is displayed. Please help me fix this mess..

Long shot... but perhaps it may have an effect...

When you installed the OS did you also install the chipset drivers for the motherboard?

And what vga card do you have?

Possibly recovery console approach; or a repair installation?

Also try to boot to safe-mode (F-8 during boot up and select safe-mode)?
