Frequency out of range...

OS: WIN XP HE
CPU/Ram: AMD XP 1600 / 384 MB

Ok ever time i start up my computer, my motherboard bios loads but when my os is about to load, the monitor gives me this frequency out of range thing... When i restart my computer it loads perfectly. Basically, every other time my computer starts up it get the error and although i can hear the start up sounds of windows and such, all i see on the screen is the frequency out of range...


can somebody help me fix this?

either your refresh rate or resolution is set too high.
