This software came "bundled" on my HP Pavilion 520N. Among other things, it allows you to remove certain ads and banners from web pages, it automatically fills out web forms for you (name, address, etc. based on info you enter into Freedom), alerts you when personal info is about to leave your computer (based on keywords you provide) and it has a "cookie manager" (including a filter). There's also some additional security-related services that you can purchase (personal firewall, etc). I've got it running on my PC and it doesn't seem to slow things down (but then I've got 512mb memory and 1.3ghz so it shouldn't). I thought the cookie manager would be very helpful but I had to disable that piece when it wouldn't let me "ask seller a question" (i.e., send an email) at eBay :-( The piece that fills out web forms for you is a timesaver if you do a lot of buying on the web (like I do) but, all in all, I could easily live without any and all of its features.

Hope this helps,
Gaye Cocoman
