Hello, I just purchased some new PC speakers since the wire on my Logitech speakers has a short in it. Anyway, even with the subwoofer completely off the two satellite speakers kick some major bass. Is there some free software that allows me to easily change the bass setting just as I would adjust the volume in my toolbar? Thanks.

I use the equaliser in WinAmp to control bass and treble settings. Just download the free version...

which soundcard or onboard audio are you running? many come with a mixer on the drivers CD.

Oh sorry I meant the overall sound I think Winamp just uses the EQ for music only. I am using the PCI Express Soundblaster card one of the newer models (the one that pops heh).

I don't know which speakers you are using, but my Logitech's have a subwoofer volume control on the subwoofer itself. It controls the overall volume of the sub, which controls the bass.

I hope this helps.

A positive attitude won't solve all your problems, but it will annoy just enough people to be worth the effort.

Heh, yes even with the subwoofer off the satellite speakers pump serious bass like the subwoofer lol. I took the speakers back and the people at Best Buy agreed with me regarding the pass. They sound like 12 inch subs in a car.
