I'm neither an agent or promoter for EaseUS but I stumped across their unbelievable page that offer the following free software for home users only:

Free Partition Manager Home Edition v2.0

This version supports Windows 2000 Professional, Windows XP 32 bit, Windows Vista 32 bit only.

If you are not a home user and prefer the professional version, or if you are running 64-bit XP or Vista, you can only try the demo version. This really free program can be downloaded either as zip or exe file.

Enjoy.

P.S. Why not crab one for youeawlf NOW before EaseUS change their and start pricing the free product.

It works fine too!
I used it on Win 2K several weeks ago and it performed as advertised.
Grab it.

Hi cuffy - I've downloaded it but not yet tried it. Curious - have you ever used Powerquest/Symantec Partition Magic? If so how does EaseUS software compare to it? Thanks.

I have used Partition Magic but it was several years ago. I have version 4 and it also worked as advertised.
Partitioning is not one of my favorite activities because of the time it takes so I avoid it if possible. When it becomes necessary it's nice to have a tool handy that isn't grossly over-priced and may only be used once.
I recommend you grab a copy of this one and keep it in your knitting basket. Commercial software can turn a simple job into an expensive project so grab a free tool while it's available.

This (Home Edition) deal doesn't support 64-bit Windows :-(

Hi XpUser,

I have been using Powerquest/Symantec Partition Magic 8 for a few years now.
Any System I Build I use it to prepare the Hard Drive for Before I do any Installation of Windows.
It will do everything that EaseUS does.

Yeah I already have the zip & exe files saved. For those who are curious to know what EaseUS PM really looks like, see the screenshots.

I fired up the original PQ PM8 that is still running on this PC. The GUI interfaces does resemble EasUS interfaces if not better.

Hi JPW thanks for sharing with me your opinion. Eventually I will try it on one of the PCs running Vista 32-bits.

Sabertooth - there is a 64-bit version available but the free version is for demo only. The 64-bits are included in the Professional Edition.

XP User,
I never use PQ PM8 within Windows, I have seen to many people posting here with problems using it that way. Create the Floppy version and use it there and you will have no problems. Or boot up the the PQ PM8 CD and run the Partitioning from DOS.

Good catch XpUser.

I usually use Partition Magic 3.0 for old stuff and Acronis DD 10 for everything else.

I'll try this on the bedroom machine to resize 3 partitions created when I installed and dumped a linux distro I didn't like.

Maybe I should have mentioned that I used Disk Copy 2 prior to using Partition Magic
(post above Response #3). DC makes a sector by sector copy and once copied I used Partition Magic to establish partitions.

Both programs worked fine and make a good addition to your toolbox (both freeware).
