bios. Trying to install XP. My Bios is from '99 -'01. I've got my old 20 GB harddrive as c: and my new 80GB Seagate as D:. It recognizes both drives, went through the install and about 3-5 hours of copying files, and ends up with the framebuf "infinite loop" error.
Luckily I have the kids' computer. I have an external cd-rw if I need to install it here. and a floppy. What can I download/copy from this computer & how do I get installed on the computer I'm trying to upgrade while it's in this state of confusion? What directory do I install it to? etc...

Had same problem after power supply blew out. turned out to be a bad floppy drive, a short i guess that caused the infinite loop. check your hardware for problems.
