Below is the error message I receive when installing Windows XP:


The error was caused by file: framebuf

Device driver got stuck in an infinite loop. This usually indicates a
problem with the device itself or with the device driver programming the
hardware incorrectly.

Does anyone know how to resolve?

What kind of motherboard do you have? and What device is it? Sounds to me its an video card thing. So are you doing an update install (98 to xp or home to pro) if so, I would find the right driver for your video card before installing xp.
