Can anyone help? I have tried everything! I recently bought a Toshiba Laptop. I tried to use my Mp3 Player (which is a plug and play device) by plugging the usb into the laptop. The laptop never recognized the Mp3 Player but did pop up a 'Found New Hardware' Wizard, which asks you to connect to the internet to find the appropriate software for the device. It wasn't able to do so. My Mp3 Player still doesn't work (even though I installed the software that came with it on CD -- the software won't recognize the player either) and now I keep getting this really annoying 'Found New Hardware' Wizard pop up every time I re/start the computer. I even clicked on 'Don't show me this message again' but it doesn't work. I then uninstalled all things I had installed and tried everyhing suggested by anyone. Nothing's worked! The Found New Hardware Wizard just keeps popping up and slows down my computer. It also shows on the taskbar "Found New Hardware - Printer". But I never even tried to install a printer. I want to get rid of this message for good. I tried everything including registry issues and system restore to an earlier date but nothing works! What should I do about this? Please help. Thank you very much for your help.

Try this.
GO INTO DEVICE MANAGER

GO TO VIEW

SELECT SHOW HIDDEN DEVICES

CLICK THE PLUS SIGN NEXT TO PRINTERS....

IS THEIR AN EXCLAMATION POINT ? if so select properties check and see what it says
TRY SELECTING DISABLE from the properties of it OR SELECT UNINSTALL SEE IF THE PRINTER STILL WORKS...
