What are the average temps of your PC when applications are running? My PC is connected to the net, and has been for the last 3/4 days, constant, (multible film downloads), and the temp is a steady 34c (CPU) and 22c (System). The software I use is Speedfan 4.16

Why you ask? Are you having cooling problems?
I am currently working on some low tech ways to help the airflow in a computer case. When I get it down to being able to use things you find around the house, I will be posting it.

I may be crazy, but I'm not stupid...

System Zone 2 - 28c

Hi setishock, no cooling probs, just intrigued. Incidently, is this temp with thermal pads or paste? Also what kind of low tech household items are you refering to?

Paste, silver based. Intel heatsink and blower. The heatsink is round with fins. Copper, I think. Looks like it. Anyway I'm working on ducting made from like old shoe boxes and duct tape. My drives sit in the upper portision of the case out of the air flow. So with some creative thinking going on here, I'm making ductwork to bring air from the 2 front blowers to the upper bays before it gets sucked to the back and on out. I have popped out the extra floppy bay cover and it does help but still have to get air to the top bays.

I may be crazy, but I'm not stupid...

I have an AMD Athlon 1.8 GHZ and it runs steadily between 40-42 C.
That is okay for an AMD processor, and I have no freezing issues or crashes.
I have an AOC cpu fan with a very large heatsink and generic thermal paste I would love a liquid cooling system!
