How do i format my hard drive? When i try to it says "Windows cannot format this drive. Quit any disk utilities or other programs that are using this drive, and make sure that no window is displaying the contents of the drive. Then try formating again." What does this mean and wat will the formatting do? How do i format my hard drive please help.
P.S.How do i run a dos game from a boot disk?

Are you trying to format your main hdd the one with windows on it? Formatting remove all data on your hdd you will LOSE EVERYTHING if you want to format your main hhd the one with windows do it with a win 98 boot disk

you format the drive by either booting with the cd and do a clean install or boot from start up disks and format from there. or use partition magic boot floppys and format from those. why do you want to format ? it will wipe everything off the drive ! is this what you are asking to do ?
