I've got a problem formatting D: on my computer. I went into the Disk Mgmt on the Control Panel Administrative Tools, but when I right click on the D: and click Format it says that the logical drive is currently in use. my question is how do i format that partition if it's currently in use. Thanks!

Insert The WinXp Cd in the drive at startup. It is suppose to boot from the CD. It has formatting Tools there.

If your windows or other system files are on The D then becareful. Perhaps you want to Clean everything but did you install some programs needed for the smooth running of windows there? If so then take care. Else try the windows Xp Cd thing. Specify the Drive/Partition you want to Format.
Good luck
