Specs: Windows XP
I just built my first computer, and I am running 2 sata hard drives, a 500gb and a 1.5tb. When I installed windows xp I didnt partition anything and now when I go to my computer there is only the C drive(the 500gb drive) the other drive is listed in the properties of the C drive, so I know that it is working. How can I get the 2nd HDD setup as my D drive?

bennyboy181, do you have one set up as a slave drive? On the drive itself are jumpers (microswitches?) which must be set to make the drive a slave. Once that's done, Windows will recognize it as a seperate drive. "D"? Dunno, mines "F". Guess it sorta depends on your hardware configuration.

I installed windows xp I didn't partition anything

You must have done. You cannot install anything until the drive is partitioned and formatted, even if it just one partition spanning the entire disk which what you appear to have done.

The same goes for the second drive. That must be partitioned and formatted before it will be recognised in Windows Explorer. You can partition and format the drive from Computer management > Disk Management. The drive will show up as unallocated space.
