Would you care to tell us why and how you formatted the HD in the first place? This usually shed some lights as to why your OS is running slower.

ok, on my computer i have a dual cd drive. And one of them was not working properly so installed a (NEW) (DVD-RW,CD-RW) from SONY. And everthing was going OK till i realized that my second CD-ROM on the bottom was not working!! so my dad tried to install the bottom cd rom again. That's WHEN my computer REALLY REALLY slowed down. i conldn't figure out what it was so i FORMATTED it using the MY RECOVERY CD for Dell for WINDOWS XP.

It didn't help so can u please tell me what i can do to FIX this MAJOR PROBLEM.
