Can't figure out how to format my c drive with XP pro. From the cmd prompt it starts to but tells me something is using the volume, and it won't let me force a dismount. Anyone know how to format with XP pro? Its driving me nuts! Email me at canion@tyler.net

Adam... we would presume you have only one drive/partition and you want to get RID of XP by formatting. If this is the case you cannot format from within Windows. Download a bootdisk from here:
www.bootdisk.com
Make sure that it contains the format command. Make sure your computer can boot from a floppy and then boot to the a: prompt.
Type: Format c: (then 'Enter')
The job's done.

go yahoo search for delpart.ex it's about 1.30 mb lenght so you must restart your pc with win 98 re start disk (floopy) and then after you got A:\ change the floopy for delpart floopy, then write down delpatr hit enter en the will kill win xp and you will be able to create your partitions and so format your c good luck
