i have been trying to format c drive i have gone into the b i o s for cd rom 1st boot and xp still loads am i doing something wrong? also i have the 6 boot disks and they only re install xp i want to format the drive any ideas thankyou

Use a Windows 98 start up disk, restart your computer with that in. Get to the a: and format from there. Then install your OS from there. You can get the start up disk from here if you don't have it:

Set first boot to cd rom like you did
Put the XP Cd-rom into the drive
and reboot . Then there will come on the screen if you wanne boot from Cd rom ENTER do that LOL.
Else it will boot the second ( C: drive )
