formated drive, computer slower!!

Hi, I had windows 98 and I reformated my hard drive and wiped everything out. I then installed XP. My computer is soo slow, and my old old computer hanldes XP fine and it isnt as good of a pc. What should I do??

how much ram did your old computer have? you only have 128 in your current one, and that isn't very much for xp. XP uses a lot more ram for all programs it runs, compared to 98 and 2000.

Go to:
Start/Settings/ Control Panel/System/Advanced/Performance
Change to "Adjust for best performance". This will speed you up noticably. There are other tweaks you can do as well but a stick of memory will help the most.
