Hello folks,
I hope someone can help me with my trouble with formatting my XP machine. Have got some nasty trojan on my HDD and unable to remove with AVG.
I decided to format my computer rather then further trying to remove it using other anti virus.
All data has been backed up and need to format my PC.
First, I went into BIOS and changed to boot from CD so my computer can boot from bootable XP CD that I have.
Then put CD in and restart the computer and computer starts running something called 'Caldera' and stops at [DR-DOS] A:\> prompt. Looks like its asking me something but not sure what it is and how to further go and format my PC.
What is that I am doing wrong?
Please help!

AVG is ok at detecting bad guys, but lacks a bit in removing them.
Try an online scan at http://housecall.antivirus.com/
I don't know what that CD you have is, but it's not a real Microsoft XP install CD.
