Just put the XP cd in the cdrom and follow the instructions for installing, beginning with deleting partitions and making new ones. Microsoft did a great job with making everything for installing right on the cd.

Dont bother with the windows 98 thing. there's no reason to format FAT32 when you'll just reformat for NTFS 45 minues later. Just put in the CD, and follow the prompts.

Put in the CD...press any key to boot from CD(watch for it). When the time comes to install to a "partition", delete all partitions the old install created and install on the unformatted space(the whole hard drive). FAT file system stops at 32GB, NTFS is the future!!!
