I have win xp on my system, and I want to format my hard drive (containing data and the os) and reinstall win xp. I attempted to get the boot disk file from boot disk.com in order to run fdisk and format the hdd, but the exes only extract to a floppy drive. I have the cmos setting set to boot up with a cd since I have no floppy drive. SO what I want to know is, can I make a cd with the bootdisk file on it and format my disk using fdisk, or what should I do?

if you boot from the winxp cd and do the setup you get the option to format your hdd...so you don't have to format first with a bootflop or something

If I want to use xp do I have to update win me or 98 or 95. and I havent found apache sp hcf56k xp drivers. if I load to xp I dont use my fax modem
