I recently installed an app which changed all my folder file types to acpConvert for the use of being able to right click a folder and convert the contents media. when i un-installed the program the folders continued to stay as acpConvert so i decided to try and fix using the File Types settings in Folder Options. I can exactly remember what i didnt but my folders are no longer associated with Folders and only of acpConvert. now when i click a folder it only attempts the default action which is not to open but attempt to convert the files.
How can i restore the folders to the folder file type. this is really starting to get to me.
I have tried system restore and last known good configuration.
BTW: when i click a folder now it opens up a box to select an application to open it with. :(

andrewmeneguz123, Are you talking about empty folders of folders with actual files in them? Can you open any file extensions?

andrewmeneguz123, Go to the link below and download the "Folder Association Fix" which Restores default associations for File Folders. It's a ZIP file, which contains a REG (Registry) file. Download the ZIP and open it. Extract the REG file to your hard disk and double click it. Answer yes to the import prompt.
