In XP I like to use the "details" view for my folders, but randomly I will go into a folder, and the thumbnail option will be set, to get it back I have to reapply the details view. Yes I went to the tools menu, then folder options, then the view tab, then clicked on "apply this view to all folders" option, but annoyingly it randomly returns... Anybody else hear of, or have this problem, and maybe a possible cure!!! Thanx

Yeah I get this problem as well its something to do with customizable folders but I haven't found a way to stop yet! TomC

I've also encountered the same problems and have gone down this same route. However, where the person in response #1 says: "check the box that say remember each folder view setting so next time you hit detail it sticks" I find no place that says anything like Remember Each Folder View Settings. Someone else posted the same fix for me a couple days ago, but I am unable to locate where I'm supposed to click this checkbox. If it's supposed to be in the same place where you set the folder view options--my XP Home edition does not list it. Help!
