I want to restrict other user's rights to my documents folder and all its subfolders. How would I go about doing this? I am running XP pro on a network with no domain server, on a k6 500 cpu. Any help would be appreciated.

Right click on a folder that you want to restrict and click on properties and then on sharing.

That would work for network users but not for local users. I want to restrict it from local use by everyone but me.

First, you have to make sure that your drive is formatted ntfs.

Second, right click the folder, select sharing then security. From here you can set permissions for users and groups.
