Hello! My name is Apoorva. I am using WinXP SP2.
Now, I was trying to rename a folder but could not rename it because it was displaying a message >
"Access is denied. Make sure the disk is not full or write-protected."So, I restarted my PC to refresh the RAM & again tried to rename the same folder and this time, it has successfully renamed it.
So, after restarting the PC, it renames the folder successfully. So, my question is, what should I do if I want to rename the folder without restarting the PC if I receive the above error message?
Please reply...
Apoorva.

Thats very odd... Ive never seen that but it sounds like maybe a virus or spyware. I say that because those first vital seconds that your computer starts up the "Virus" might be connecting to the host and in the mean time you still have access to the folder. But im willing to bet its not a Virus. Check your security settings and make sure you are the Admin of the computer. Also another thing that could have happened was one of those many Glitches windows has :/

The folder was in use by some program that you were running or had run. Windows will not rename a folder or file that is being used by some program.
Do yourself a favor BACKUP!!!
