folder question

noticed somthing strange recently deleted a folder from desktop but it keeps reappearing after being deleted does anybody why this would happen?

chenko, a lot depends on just which folder it is. There're certain folders that Windows must have so it checks for them and if they're missing, it creates them (though usually as sub-folders in Windows). If that's the deal fine, but why on the desktop?
Best guess is that you have some sort of nasty at work. Scan? Perhaps you can move the folder as opposed to deleting? Seems to me that if you can deterine what's creating the folder, perhaps you can alter it (delete?)?

I created the folder on my desktop and put some mp3's inside deleted it then it keeps reappearing but empty its a bit curious.

What if you rename it and then delete it? Does it come back with a new or old name?

chenko, another thought, since you created the folder, what if you move it as opposed to deleting? Windows 'remembers' what the desktop looks like as it shuts down so it can put things back as they were and it may need the folder moved in order to take it off the desktop.
Another thing you might try if that fails is to move the file somewhere and then return to the desktop and close using 'file' as opposed to the handier 'X'. That will force Windows to 'remember'.
