Folder Properties Problem

CPU/Ram: PIII 500MHz

Hi there,
i am facing this weird problem since a long time now. whenever i try to check my folders properties, it takes abnormally long time to show them. initially this process was just spontaneous. i have defragmented my drives. pls dont tell me to do a system restore coz i dunno when this thing really started. reply asap.

Try turning off Indexing Service to see if it helps. Go to Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services > Index Service Properties. Then set to Manual.
