Folder name missing

Comment:
Suddenly it stopped displaying names of the prime folders under "My Pictures" when I directly go to it from 'Start-, 'My Pictures'. (the sub folders under main folders still display the names). But it would display the names of the folders when I go from 'Start', 'My Computer'.....Now it has stopped displaying even thro' 'My Computer'...
All other folder names are showing, though.
What can be the problem and how do I rectify it ? Please help. Thanks in advance.

RC, Go into your My Pictures and set the View to Thumbnails then hold the Shift key down and click on the View button and select Details. Remove your finger from the Shift key. You should now see file names. Hold the Shift key down and click on the View button and select Thumbnails. You should now see thumbnails with file names under them.
Holding the shift key down usually toggles between folder/tile names and no folder/file names.
