Folder and File Problem

Guys i got a wearied problem,when i cut a file and past it some where,the file get pasted but it also leaves a copy at the original location(after reboot also the file is in the two places),and other problem is when i uncheck the option“Hide extensions for known file types” for folder options,it doest'nt show me the extensions of any file,when i get back to the option the “Hide extensions for known file types” is selected by auto,when i try again it get selected again....looks it doesn't get apply.how can i over come this??? pls help.

Quite a strange problems... Have you tried to reboot? Have you got the administrator rights on this computer? Try to perform the Repaire install of the OS.

Is the old location of the file in a zip?

well yap i didnt restart,no hope.ya iam in admin,was using it for 3 months without any problem.this juz started,i didnt do any change also(like installing program..ect..)
