What happened to my post regarding the malicious (virus/spyware/spam) code which has infected my computer? Why was it removed?
The malicious code opens an IE window, which points to www.flipperkeys.com
I held them responsible for spreading this code and in my previous post I displayed the results I got from a simple Whois lookup.
The malicious code is still terrorising my pc and until now I cannot get rid of it, even after disabling the Messaging service (NOT MSN messenger) in my system.
I need serious help for getting rid of this code and I dont want this post to be removed again.......... (if so I will post it in some different forums)

I found out that my PC was infected by a Winpup (like) Adware Trojan or Comms.
I managed to delete this infection manually even though the code renames itself each time (I deleted the executable and the registry entry when it was called erberosk.exe).
However, I still dont know how I got infected, because I never have viruses even though I never use a virus scanner.
I would like to know if this code is selfinstalling? (Like Wormblaster)
As far as I know I have not clicked on an installation program which installed this malicious code.I also suspect the owner of http://is.casalemedia.com of spreading this malicious code, because another window popped up which pointed to virus removal detection on this website. Now this anoying window is removed also.....
Who knows more?

I have EXACTLY the same issue.
I've tried seaching for other users with the same problem, but Soedesh and I appear to be the only ones - this just can't be!
I've run the latest Adaware and Spybot but neither has found the problem.
I'm stumped - and very wary of what nasty may be on my machine.
HELP Please!

Flipperkeys is pissing me off. I looked at the view source file and it is shows http://www.undergroundlair.net. Are the ads coming from there? Also, Spybot is not detecting this apparent adware.
Someone, please, help me get this stupid popup out of my comp!!
Thanks in advance.
Viewsource Code: [hope this helps]

Fixed :-)
Just updated Adaware with reference file 01R282 10.04.2004
It identified issue as WinPup and removed it.
Problem gone
No more Flipperkeys.
Hope this works for others.

Spent 2 hours removing this from a WinME box last night.
It was detected by AdAware 6 but not completely removed (AdAware deleted files but the popups continued and the registry keys kept returning).
Finally ended up following the manual steps at:
http://www.kephyr.com/spywarescanner/library/winpup/index.phtmlHad to use Bazooka to detect it's presence and the Startup Control Center to locate the process that was loaded at boot that kept the registry filled with the 'pup' entry.
Good luck!
