after reading the above article i did realize i had missed one obvious step event manager here are the following listings i found An error was detected on device \Device\Harddisk7\D during a paging operation. Check the ribbon and the pins; to make sure the ribbon in connected properly and the pins on the device are not bent. I have seen this warning because of a ribbon being cut through in two places. After replacing it, my unit worked fine.
