Although I've used Zone Alarm, Sygate, Kerio and Agnitum--all of them will stealth your PC--Sygate probably offers the most flexibility of the four.

Solarian,

I am curious what the Sygate has that the Kerio FW doesn't. Mind giving a brief comparison

I've found it to be more configurable when setting permissions than Kerio. I'm speaking here of the older freeware version. Naturally, you get more bells and whistles with the pay-for version, which is also true for the pay-for version of Kerio. That said, Kerio is easier to set up. But in terms of a firewall's most important function--stealthing your PC; making it invisible on the Internet--the freeware version of Kerio works as well as the pay-for version. Kerio recently (November 21, 2003) came out with an updated version (4.0.8) of its free firewall. The version I've used is 2.1.5.

I like so much Sygate flexibility, but port 5000 is not stealth on xp System.
May be I don't know how to configure it out.
Any Idea ?

To be honest, I installed GRC's unpnp a long time ago and never had to worry about port 5000 with any firewall. 8-)
