Hi,
I am using firefox 3.0.5 browser & for last 2 days whenever I open the browser OR any web page, the buttons or Links present in the page or the firefox menu at the top are not active. It takes about 10 to 30 seconds for the buttons/links etc to get active. I have even upgraded the firefox to latest version.
Again when new page is opened the buttons/Links remains inactive for 10-30 seconds.

My another browser like IE7 or opera are running OK & there is no similar problem.

Thanks,

Ravi Modi

ravimodi, what you describe sounds like a memory thing. You have plenty of physical memory, but it can only be accessed as quickly as reads take place. Possible you have apps. running in the background that you don't need?

Hi,
I don't think that background process or memory will be problem as firefox was working OK previously & suddenly this problem started. Also my other browsers IE7 & Opera are working OK. Also other applications like word, excel etc in my system also working OK & Only firefox is giving problem.

Might have been a good idea to post this to the Office Software Forum, but DON'T repost there. :)

Was Firefox working fine before the update? How many tabs do you have open at the time? Have you cleared cache and History just to see if that helps? Have you rebooted? If neither of those helps, look in the Mozilla Support pages and see if this is documented there.
