Yesterday i was installing some extensions, such as linkification, and after that, when i tried to open firefox (1.0.4), it would show a blank screen, a blank address bar, and my bookmark toolbar was completely gone. At first i thought it was only frozen, but i could click on the top to close, minimize, and move it, etc. If i click on one of the buttons such as refresh, they don't work or even make an animation that they work. I also cannot click on the address bar. I've uninstalled and reinstalled it a few times, and even tried system restore, but those didn't help. Sometimes I'll try to open firefox, and the window won't even come up. I've run out of ideas on what to do. Please help.

Your profile has been corrupted by an extension you installed that didn't work with the rest. Do you know which one you installed right before this happened? Did you close and restart FF between each extension install? To fix this try uninstalling the extensions you have installed in reverse order. If that don't work you will want to go to
C:\Documents and Settings\User Name\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\some # and letters.default
Then copy and save your bookmarks.html to another place on your hard drive then delete the
C:\Documents and Settings\User Name\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox folder.
You will have to reinstall the extensions you want and import the bookmarks.html through the bookmark manager or by copying the old bookmarks.html to the new profile folder.
