Hello,
My Adaptec Easy CD Creator 4 hasn't been working since I updated my computer from Me to XP. The computer keeps popping up error messages and tells me to uninstall and re-install afterwards the program, but I don't know how to! I can't find an XP version of the program, except for Easy CD & DVD Creator Platinum Update 6.0.3.4 (see http://www.softnews.ro/public/cat/3/1/3-1-2.shtml), but I can't install it. Do you know how to resolve my problem, or do you know any other freeware cd burners that would work?

I had the same problem and went to the Roxio website (the new owner of Easy CD Creator). There's a 'huge' patch for running under XP. As I remember, it was about 10Meg. Anyway, after downloading that patch, no probs.

good luck

Windows xp will not work with easy cd version 4.You have to be running at least version 5 with all of the relevant patches installed.I don't know if Roxio offers an upgrade from 4 to 5 or if you have to aquire a stand alone new install. The goback feature of easy CD causes a lot of the conflict with xp,so if you do install version 5 it is best to not install this part of the program.

Yeah, I had Easy CD Creator 3 which came with my CD burner (which does not work with XP, nor is it even recognized). There is no update on Roxio's website for ECDC 3, actually, there's no trace of it on Roxio's webpage. There's no way I could upgrade to Version 4 or 5. Is there any way I could upload a free version of ECDC 5? I downloaded a recording program from HP's website that was listed right above the driver update for my CD burner. It's called RecordNow. If I can ever get some help on getting my burner working again, or I can upload a free version of ECDC 5+ I can let ya know how things work out. LOL but I'm in the same boat as you are.
