I bought a DVD burner and burned my first DVD with Roxio Easy CD & DVD creator, all seemed to go well. When I selected the directory's to back-up it gave me an error message saying that some of the file names were too long and had a choice to automatically change them which I selected. It burned the DVD with no errors. But when I tried to copy the DVD back to the hard drive I got an error message about file names and it quit copying. I remember having this problem with Roxio Easy CD creator and I switched to Nero.
I think the filename limit for Roxio is 25 characters or something like that. So my question is: Is there a way in Windows Explorer (XP) to find all files with more than X number of characters in the filename?
