Files missing from XP

There are lots of .dll files missing from my version of XP. My cd is really badly scratched and when I installed it, it gave me numerious errors about missing dll files. I had to hunt about 30 dll files down. The system seems to be stable at the moment but alot of programs which need database files, system files, etc. are complaining that they are missing. Is there a program that checks to see what Windows XP files I'm missing?
NOTICE: THE SYSTEM INFORMATION PROGRAM DOESN'T WORK EITHER, (THIS IS THE PROGRAM WHICH HAS CHECK SYSTEM FILE OPTION)

As far as I know, there isn't a program that checks for that. Try getting a good copy of Windows XP, and running the re-install. That should copy all the missing files, and fix any problems that you may have. It will keep your origional settings. But before you do, uninstall any programs that require the missing files and then once the re-install of ur OS is done, re-install the programs. That should fix it!

Click Start, and then click Run. In the Open box, type sfc /scannow, and then click OK. this will scan for missing or corrupt system files, including dlls.
