Hi,
we've juz installed WinXP Home over our existing WinME (no formatting was done) and now
we're having problems locating some of our files. The folders where the files used to be can still be seen, but the files are all gone. Has anyone experienced this before?

Are there any way to recover the files?

Thanks!

Upgrade ME to XP is unadvisable, best to undertake a fresh install after wiping the hard drive...........

You need to take ownership of the folders/ partition. Look under Start> help and support use the keyword "ownership" to find out how.
