file transferre between 2 os's

so all i would have to do is to convert the NTFS file foramt to FAT or FAT 32 if that is the case? and then i will be able to transferre all files and settings over to xp pro?

You should really stick to one post, it get confusing if you don't.
You need to provide more info on this situation, there is no reason you need to change partition types for XP to see them. XP can read FAT16, FAT32 and NTFS just fine.
As far as settings, what settings are you wanting to transfer?

just do this:
'transferre all files and settings over to xp pro'
forget the 'format file fat fat32 ntfs' part
or be a bit more specific :-)
