Every time I've tried transfering from my old desktop to my new laptop, using the file transfer wizard, the transfer process doesn't advance past 0.26% complete, with 17:01:30 left to completion. I've tried using 9DB serial file pc to pc transfer cable, then a null modem serial cable, but nothing works. The old computer is running win98, but I'm using the win xp reinstallation cd from the new one, as per the transfer wizard instructions. What's going wrong, and what can I do to get my data transferred?
